Chris Conomos is a rare breed— born and raised in Central Florida. Summers and weekends were spent at the Conomos family home in New Smyrna Beach. These childhood experiences fostered a love of surf, sand, and small towns. After years of seeking the perfect beach town to call home, Chris attained his dream by becoming a permanent resident of The Shores.
For people who know Chris, it’s no surprise he wants to serve his community. Chris has a servant's heart, the experience, and the education to do the job well.
As a young man, not wanting to be far from the beach and family, Chris chose Valencia Community College and the University of Central Florida for his undergraduate degree in political science, and he stayed to study government policies, public safety, and infrastructure. His hard work earned him a Master of Public Administration from UCF.
Chris topped that with a Juris Doctor from the Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, and returned to Central Florida to practice law.
Chris has made a name for himself as a public defender, a constitutional conservative, and a pillar of the Justice System.
It should be noted that Chris proudly served in Florida's Army National Guard for 6 years as an Infantryman and Rifle Team Leader. He earned the rank of Sergeant and numerous meritorious service awards.
Beyond his military service, Chris acted as a Dividends volunteer and role model for JROTC students.
Chris and his wife, Stacy, truly believe, “Life is better in The Shores.” This belief and his desire to nurture and protect the city he loves, led Chris to seek a position on the Daytona Beach Shores City Council. This November, please cast your vote for Chris Conomos.
